Sonya
Blood Roses by Francesca Lia Block
Rating: 1 Stars
I have never been more disappointed in a book in my entire life. It's a collection of short stories, but those short stories have no point. They are perverted and this world's perverted enough, and it was just something I could have done without reading.

Kim
Girl Stories by Lauren R. Weinstein
Rating: 4 Stars
This book is really cool. It's a graphic novel, which is really colorful and the stories in it are about real things that can happen in real life.

Brittany
Rogue Angel series by Alex Archer
Rating: 5 Stars
This series is about an archaeologist named Annja Creed, who travels the world searching for historical treasures. It is the mystery, suspense, action, and historical fiction genres combined. If you like historical fiction and action adventure, you will love these books! They are kind of like the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider movies. I loved them! They will keep you on the edge of your seat, not wanting to put the books down!

Alexandra
Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment by James Patterson
Rating: 5 Stars
What a book! It'll stay glued to your hands the moment you pick it up and start reading it. It is a great story of 6 kids who were taken from their parents and experimented on as children --- with the result of them becoming part bird. They eventually escape, only to have their youngest "sister" kidnapped by evil erasers who work for the scientists. Definitely not your average book! It deals with betrayal, love, out-of-body experiences, escape, fear and so much more! This is a book everyone should know about! Read it ASAP!

Alexandra
Burning Up by Caroline B. Cooney
Rating: 4 Stars
This is an amazing mystery that deals with love, hate, segregation, and death --- one of the best books to read that is interesting and also deals with history and true facts. If you love mysteries or action-packed thrillers, this is the book that combines both of these page-turning qualities. Definitely a must read!

Oceansurferg
Looking for JJ by Anne Cassidy
Rating: 5 Stars
I think it's a rather good book. The plot seems realistic. At the beginning, you weren't given all the information, but then suddenly you go from Alice Tully to Jenifer Jones and learn about the slightly accidental murder that got Jenifer/Alice/Katie into this whole mess. A great book that I would recommend to anyone (though most likely a girl).

Faith
Broken China by Lori Auralia Williams
Rating: 4 Stars
It was really good. but a little depressing.

Sonya
Avalon High by Meg Cabot
Rating: 3 Stars
This was an ok book, I like how history was put into a new fictional book.

Day
Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
Rating: 4 Stars
It was pretty good. There were slow parts but I really like the overall story. This isn't a book for the reluctant reader, but if you like 19th century literature, this is for you.

Emmaline
Lyddie by Katherine Paterson
Rating: 4 Stars
Historical fiction. Its about a girl who goes to work at a factory in Lowell. This book starts off slowly, but later on, it gets better.

Ruth
Such a Pretty Girl by Laura Wiess

A very powerful amazing story. It's actually very sad, but really deep. This was an amazing book! A very stunning novel, I suggest you read it.

Marissa
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
Rating: 5 Stars
After I saw the movie The Count of Monte Cristo, I knew i had to read the book, so I did, and I love it! It's one of my very favorites! It's about a man who is locked in prison for a crime he didn't do. When he escapes after 16 years, he vows revenge on the people who put him there.

Hannah

ARTEMIS FOWL is an awesome book with everything I love about books in it. It has fairies, suspense, magic and an evil genius. I recommend this for everybody!

Caitieroo
Untouchable by Kate Brian

This book was extremely suspenseful. I had to keep reading it in order to find out who killed Thomas. The Private series is suspenseful, thrilling, and fun!

Kells :D

Rating: 5 Stars
I love the mystery in this story. It really keeps you guessing and holds your attention, and there's some romance too.

Morgan
Zach's Lie by Roland Smith
Rating: 4 Stars
Zach Granger has to join the Witness Security Program after his dad is caught transporting drugs. His real name isn't Zach and his eyes aren't really blue. He has to leave his whole life behind. Zach makes a mistake that could cost him, his friends, and family their lives.

Ella
Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand
Rating: 5 Stars
It's really long, but it's just so good!

Amanda
Blade of Fire by Stuart Hill
Rating: 5 Stars
The second book in the Chronicles of Icemark series was great. Thirrin is still her strongest through out the book, even her children inherit her fighting spirit. A great fantasy fiction where werewolves, vampires, witches, and talking snow leopards are the good guys.

Kristina Chang
Kira-Kira by Cynthia Kadohata
Rating: 5 Stars
This book about Katie was a beautiful way to express different people's (from other cultures) feelings.

Sarah

This book is wonderful. A girl from New Jersey moves to Florida and finds that she is the only brunette, and well, you can read the rest yourself! I'm shocked they don't have this book here on Teenreads, so Google it and find out more about it!

The Book Muncher

This was an amazing book about friendship. Everyone should read it.

Evelyn
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Rating: 4 Stars
I'm reading this for my English class and when I first started it, I thought it was going to be another boring classic, but it was actually pretty good! The plot was eventful and the ending was a bit unexpected, so that made reading it even more fun!

DREAM FACTORY was an awesome book! It was about a girl named Ella and a guy named Luke who were meant for each other, but don't realize it until the end. Misti

Rating: 5 Stars
This is the 4th book in the Sisters Grimm series, and it's the best one yet. It's all about Sabrina and Daphne Grimm, and Puck. They go to New York to heal Puck's wings in the kingdom of Faerie, but secrets lie like fog in the great city and things aren't what they seem. Such and awesome book and series!

Rating: 4 Stars
A great futuristic, but fun, book.

Sydney
Songs for a Teenage Nomad by Kim Culbertson
Rating: 5 Stars
This book was astounding! It was incredibly easy to relate to as a reader, and it is wonderfully written. Calle's adventures as a freshman in high school were nailed perfectly, and her fears and apprehensions as a young girl raising her mother and falling in love for the first time are beautifully mastered by the author. I love Kim Culbertson's book and I am positive that it is a story that will stay with me forever!

ReadingFanatic
One of Those Hideous Books Where the Mother Dies by Sonya Sones
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is so good. I read in like 2 hours. I really didn't think it would make sense when I started because the book looks like a collection of poems, but it's amazing how Sonya can connect them all together.

purpleiskewl
The Princess Bride by William Goldman
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is totally awesome. I saw the movie for the first time in 5th grade and fell in love with it. I was so happy when I found the book by chance in the book store.

The Book Muncher
White is for Magic by Laurie Faria Stolarz
Rating: 5 Stars

Sonya
Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie by Jordan Sonnenblick
Rating: 5 Stars
I couldn't put this book down until I finished it! It was so good. It's a very emotional book. At first look, you think it's just a book for boys, but it's for both girls and boys. I recommend it to anyone and everyone!

L. Edge
The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray
Rating: 5 Stars
This was a fun read, just like the first two books in the trilogy. I was satisfied with the ending, but some of my younger friends were very disappointed with the outcome for Kartic.

Siobhan
Before I Die by Jenny Downham
Rating: 5 Stars
Tessa doesn't have much time left to live, so she's created a list of things she wants to do before she dies. Deep and thought provoking, I give this book 5/5.

Ciera
Miss Educated by Caroline Says, Hobson Brown, Taylor Materne
Rating: 4 Stars
The first book in the Upper Class series was good...not great, but worth the read.

The Book Muncher
Foundling by D.M. Cornish
Rating: 5 Stars
This was a great book, I loved it. It's great for fans of The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia and ERAGON.

Sonya
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
I couldn't understand what the hype about the Twilight series was all about. Since Harry Potter, I've been looking for that special book that would spark my love again and this series has certainly done it! If you haven't read TWILIGHT yet, please do so. I will tell you what I was told when I first started becoming interested, and it was two words --- "vampire love". It doesn't sound that great, but it's awesome!

Victoria
Total Body Makeover by Bob Greene
Rating: 5 Stars
It is such great book, it makes me want to get in the best shape of my life!

Em
Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause
Rating: 4 Stars
A story about a girl who is a werewolf, and she falls in love with a human boy (or meat-boy). It is excellent! I hated the ending, though.

Marina S.
Songs for a Teenage Nomad by Kim Culbertson
Rating: 5 Stars
I love that Kim respects teenagers enough to write an intelligent YA novel. SONGS FOR A TEENAGE NOMAD is witty and emotive, and she writes with deep empathy for high schoolers. I definitely recommend it; you can check it out at www.kimculbertson.com or on Amazon.

Yaam
Gossip Girl by Cecily von Ziegesar
Rating: 5 Stars
GOSSIP GIRL is a novel about several teenagers whose lives intertwine in interesting ways. Although they are of different ages, races and backgrounds, all of them have something in common. They all live in New York, and they all have no limitations. This is the best series I've read in a while, and it's just like chocolate --- makes you want more and more. This is an awesome series and I recommend it to all girls, 13 and up.

Yaam
Bleed by Laurie Faria Stolarz
Rating: 5 Stars
One of the most amazing books I've read in a while.

In one day, the lives of ten people, all of different ages, change and interact in surprising ways. From Robby, the guy who just got released from prison for murdering his girlfriend, to Nicole, the girl who loses her virginity to her best friend's boyfriend, to Joy, the waitress who desperately wants to be a princess.

This is an amazing story about how difficult teenage life can be, and not just teenage life, but life as a whole.

I strongly recommend this book to everyone (14 and older).

Meg
The Spook's Battle by Joseph Delaney
Rating: 3 Stars
Good book.

Helen
I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have by Ally Carter
Rating: 4 Stars
A cute book. It's sort of a chick-lit-meets-Harry-Potter kind of book.

Yaam
One of Those Hideous Books Where the Mother Dies by Sonya Sones
Rating: 4 Stars
When Ruby's mother suddenly dies, she goes to live with her famous actor father, Whip Logan, in Hollywood. Leaving her best friend, her aunt, and most importantly, her boyfriend, Ruby slowly discovers about things she could have never dreamed of.

At first, she just sits at home, talking to Max --- whom she later finds out is her father's boyfriend --- and blasting Eminem CDs. She learns to deal with the famous life, from wearing designer labels to meeting Brad Pitt at the corner store.

But when her best friend drops a bomb on her, Ruby thinks she can't handle it, and writing e-mails to her dead mother won't help her anymore.

I recommend this book to people 14 and up.

Christine
The Queen of Everything by Deb Caletti
Rating: 3 Stars
THE QUEEN OF EVERYTHING by Deb Caletti was an interesting book. It took some time to get into; not very fast paced. It was definitely easy to connect with the character, but I felt there wasn't enough information about any other characters.

D Cooper
Bloody Jack by L. A. Meyer

Angie

A fantastic sequel with just as much hilarity, romance, and mystery! If not more, that is! Go Heather Wells!

Angie
Big Boned by Meg Cabot
Rating: 5 Stars
The most recent book in the Heather Wells series leaves me wanting more! I don't want to give anything away, because it's too good --- but I will say that MAJOR things happen in it!

Breanne
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
I am not the romantic type, but this book was really exciting. I finished it in a day and a half ( got in trouble for reading during Science...) but it was worth it because TWILIGHT kept me flipping pages. I am now on the sequel, NEW MOON. Simply amazing!

Covea
Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging by Louise Renninson

Suzie
A Child Called "It" by Dave Pelzer
Rating: 5 Stars
This book was so sad. I felt horrible when I read it. I cried when his mother tortured him and when his brother brought his friends over to watch. They laughed at him and that was rude! But, I really liked this book.

Very eventful, fun, and creative. I loved it!

Christine
The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory
Rating: 5 Stars
This novel is simply fantastic!! A little lengthy, but definitely worth it! I could not put it down, and every page made me want to turn to the next to find out what would happen. It's about romance and the fight for the throne in the Tudor court in England, and I would recommend for older teens. Definitely a great read!

Carla

Bethany
Blue Bloods by Melissa De La Cruz
Rating: 5 Stars
In my opinion, this book is a great teen read. It is full of surprises and it makes me want to read it. I love vampire books including the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. This book is different than any other vampire book I have read and I have read many books. It does everything that contradicts Hollywood views of vampires.

Alexandra
Poison by Chris Wooding
Rating: 5 Stars
This is the book to read if you are a fantasy lover. This phaerie-tale is an exciting story of adventure about a girl who sets off in search of her stolen baby sister. It tells of how a determined 16-year old will go through anything to save her sister from the evil Phaerie Lord, even in a realm where she has never been before. Full of action, jaw-dropping moments, love, mystery and many emotions there aren't even words for, POISON will change the way you think about life and leave you wanting more.

Rosie
Diary of a Crush Series by Sara Manning
Rating: 5 Stars
This is really good and is part of a trilogy. I just need to read the 3rd one. The first one is called FRENCH KISS, the second is KISS AND MAKE UP, and the third is SEALED WITH A KISS. These books are for girls who are into romance and some comedy.

Tasha S.
The Luxe by Anna Godberson
Rating: 5 Stars
This book was great. It was almost like the Gossip Girl books, but set in the late 1800s, which made it so much better. Also, there was more mystery and scandal than in the Gossip Girl books. Any girl looking for a good book definitely check out THE LUXE.

Logan
Evil Genius by Catherine Jinks
Rating: 5 Stars
This is a very good book for kids around the age of thirteen. It is about a boy who goes to a secret school to learn about bombs, poision, and even computer hacking. This book is a fast read and a page turner.

Amelia
Ready or Not by Meg Cabot
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is the sequel to ALL-AMERICAN GIRL by Meg Cabot, which I read over the summer and loved it. When I found out there was a sequel, I just had to read it. My expectations were high but this book reached them with no problem! I definitely recommend it!

Nicole
The Face on the Milk Carton by Caroline B. Cooney
Rating: 3 Stars
I liked this book a lot. The only problem I had with it was it went too slowly. The mystery seemed to drag on and on. Also, it never gave the complete "yes," she was kidnapped or "no," she wasn't. If you want to find out, you have to read the sequel.

Ana
Love is a Many Trousered Thing by Louise Rennison

Kate
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Rating: 5 Stars
Although people may think it's boring because it's a classic, this book is completely different from what I thought it would be. It is easy to read, and doesn't confuse the reader with fancy symbolism or metaphors. It is told directly by Scout, and it's funny, sad, and ultimately heartwarming. It's a great read for all ages.

Kate
Extras by Scott Westerfeld
Rating: 4 Stars
I liked this book better than the original Uglies trilogy. It's in a different setting with new characters, and the conflict isn't as frustrating as the ones in the trilogy. Even if you haven't read the first three, this one is easy to pick up on, and moves at a fast pace

Elise
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

This first book in the Montmorency series chronicles the life of a man named Montmorency (gentleman by day) and his alter-ego Scarper (thief by night). The most remarkable thing about this series is that virtually every character is an adult! I couldn't put the book down --- it was great!

Sarah
Harley, Like a Person by Cat Bauer
Rating: 5 Stars
I love this book. Harley is an average 14-year-old high schooler into art and well, drugs. She has a "druggie" boyfriend, a show-off sister/friend, and a strict mother. But art wins and she finds who her real father is in the end. It's better than that, don't think I just gave away the ending!! It's better than what anyone can put in words besides Cat Bauer, the author.
