Maximum Ride Series by James Patterson
Rating: 5 Stars
This is a story about a genetic experiment involving 6 humans, except, they can fly. They are all under fifteen. My favorite part is when Max, aka Maximum Ride, starts to have un-brotherly feelings about Fang, her adopted brother. I hope this series doesn't end, because Max is forever!

xXACCEBXx
TWILIGHT and NEW MOON by Stephenie Meyer

Now, Bella wants to spend eternity with Edward as a vampire. The problem is, her best friend --- who just happens to be a werewolf --- uses an ancient law to keep this from happening.

THE GOLDEN COMPASS, THE SUBTLE KNIFE, and THE AMBER SPYGLASS are really good books that totally capture the harshness in life, in various ways throughout the trilogy.

Ash
Scrambled Eggs at Midnight by Brad Barkley and Heather Hepler
Rating: 3 Stars
It's not bad, but not the best book I've read. The main characters seem to form bonds really quickly, but maybe that's just me. I do like the way the authors portray the dynamics between Cal and her mom, though. It seems realistic to me.

Sophia M.
The Fellowship of The Ring by J. R. R. Tolkien
Rating: 5 Stars
I really like this book much more then the movie. This is the second book I have read from the Lord Of The Rings. The first one was THE HOBBIT, which I didn't like at all. It was awful to read. I think he improved greatly on THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING.

Kay Kay
Dreamland by Sarah Dessen
Rating: 5 Stars

Erica Wu
TTYL by Lauren Myracle
Rating: 5 Stars
This book was absolutely amazing. It was written in all IMs [instant messages]. This storyline was great; it is about 3 best friends who try to make it through their high school years. It brings you inside of that character's mind. You get trapped inside these characters' worlds, and you can't get out. I have read this book at least 5 times. There are three books in this series. TTYL, TTFN, and L8R G8R. I recommend all of them.

Holly

This story doesn't have a powerful ending, but the mental aspects are all realistically intricate. It's great.

Tamar by Mal Peet
Rating: 4 Stars
This is a historical fiction novel that switches from present time to during World War II. It is a great book that makes you feel like you are actually there. It is also a quick read that will make you laugh, cry, and wish that some of the events didn't really happen.

Kelsey
Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is a great read if you're in a slump and want a challenge. This first book in a series leaves you with enough to think about for a long time. However, the sequel won't be published until next year.

Rating: 5 Stars
Good.

Hannah Rose
The Barcode Tattoo by Suzanne Weyn
Rating: 5 Stars
An awesome sci-fi book about conformity. The barcode tattoo started out as a choice, it would simply make things easier, but not everyone wants it. And suddenly, it's not a choice anymore.

Hannah Rose
Thirsty by M. T. Anderson
Rating: 4 Stars
I love this book, I've borrowed it from the library several times and finally found an affordable copy at a book store! It's a story about a world where Vampires are widely accepted to be known to exist, but are also meant to be caught and slain. What if you found yourself becoming one? Wonderful horror book! I'd tell anyone over the age of 13 to read it. But just a warning: it's very creepy! Don't read at night!

Erica
The Giver by Lois Lowry
Rating: 5 Stars
THE GIVER is, by far, the best book I have ever read. This book takes you to their community, and makes you think about their customs, their traditions. It turns my thinking gears on and makes me wonder what it would be like living in their society. THE GIVER is such an original book. The mental images are so clear, so vivid. When the Receiver feels pain, I feel pain. It is such an amazing book, I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes to read.

Josela Cruz
Dangerously Alice by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor
Rating: 4 Stars
A good story about a girl who has some adventures.

Glenda
Don't You Forget About Me: A Gossip Girl Novel by Cecily von Ziegesar
Rating: 5 Stars
I loved it! It was a nice ending to the series, but not what you'd expect. So, if you haven't read it yet, it's not the one you want to miss! And watch out for the "Gossip Girl" TV show coming this fall on the CW!

Brittany Lockwood
Invatation Only by Kate Brian
Rating: 5 Stars
I just finished reading this book after I read the first book in the Private series. This is a really good story about Reed, a returning student at Easton High School --- a private school that's filled with greed, jealousy, murder, and more mysteries to uncover...

missgossipgirlxoxo
What My Girlfriend Doesn't Know by Sonya Sones
Rating: 4 Stars
I thought the book was a very nice light read --- I loved Sonya's writing style. The story was mostly realistic... and it takes readers into the complicated world of dealing with relationships! The book illustrates how teenagers are often judged by their peers, and how that can have a major effect on their everyday lifestyle.

Catherine
Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder
Rating: 4 Stars
This New York Times bestseller helps you understand philosophy and the history of the world from a child's point of view.

Julia
Just Listen by Sarah Dessen
Rating: 5 Stars
This was a beyond amazing book, just like every other work by this author. It's about a girl whose life is backwards; she seems to have no friends, and no one to tell her secret. But, can she really share it? The secret is held until practically the last page, but it's definitely worth the wait.

Whtiney
The Maximum Ride series by James Patterson
Rating: 5 Stars
If I could give this series more than 5 stars, I would! NEVER have the pages flown faster! Max and her flock keep me wanting to read more. There were more twists and turns than THE DA VINCI CODE! Recommended for ANY reader!

Catherine
My Friend Leonard by James Frey
Rating: 5 Stars
I'm currently reading My Friend, Leonard. It's basically one of the best books I've ever read. It's an autobiography and it's the sequel to A MILLION LITTLE PIECES.

Zain
Like the Flowing River by Paulo Coelho

I prefer reading Coelho's novels more than his short pieces of writing.

Adalie
Fairest by Gail Carson Levine
Rating: 4 Stars
If you like the book (and movie) ELLA ENCHANTED, this is another book set in Ella's world. It's a very good book, I liked it a lot. It has a good theme --- basically, beauty doesn't always have to be on the outside.

Patti
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
Rating: 5 Stars
This book was so mesmerizing, i stayed up until 7 in the morning to finish it. It is a memorable and compassionate story that broke my heart. THE LOVELY BONES tells an inspirational story of death and the healing power of grief that follows. However, the book is not appropriate for younger readers, because there is sex and some sexual violence.

Shyanne
Maximum Ride: Schools Out...Forever by James Patterson
Rating: 5 Stars
I really enjoyed this book because it has independent kids who are very smart, but funny, and they get along like a family. I also enjoyed that they were kids against the adults and that they had powers. I recommend this series.

Shyanne Molly Shelton ;)
Hunted by N. M. Browne

Miranda
Being by Kevin Brooks
Rating: 4 Stars
Come on, who doesn't like a good Kevin Brooks book?

Danielle
Wuthering Heights by Emily Brotnė
Rating: 5 Stars
This tragic love story has a twist at every turn; there is no possible way to predict the next steps of the dynamic characters in this story, because there is no other book quite like it. Hold your breath and settle down, 'cause you're not going to want to be interrupted while reading this.

Danielle
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontė
Rating: 4 Stars
Admittedly, it takes about 150 pages before the book becomes interesting, but once it does, it pulls you in. Much like in her sister's novel, you can't predict the next happenings in this book. Nothing is as you expect and it's very refreshing to have a plain and normal human being as the heroine.

Sylvia O.
The Mediator 1: Shadowland by Meg Cabot
Rating: 5 Stars
Very thrilling!

Danielle
Twilight by Stephanie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
5 is not a high enough rating for this book. It's amazing. I'm going to have to buy a hardback copy, because my paperback is almost worn out.

Danielle
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Rating: 5 Stars
Some say this book is boring and doesn't have a wide enough view, but that's why it's so refreshing. There are no world-wide themes, no super-imposed political messages, it's a simple love story.

Danielle
New Moon by Stephanie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is equally as good as its predecessor and I have high hopes for the 3rd installation in the series.

Sylvia O.
The Serious Kiss by Mary Hogan

Danielle
Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery
Rating: 5 Stars
This is my favorite book in the series, because it shows us the child Anne Shirley, who is so very much like I was at her age.

Maddie
Fairest by Gail Carleson Levine
Rating: 4 Stars
I love the fairytale princess feel in books, and this is sort of a spin off of Snow White, but not really. It's kind of hard to follow with the imaginative character names and plots, but it is a good read.

Ande
First Test by Tamora Pierce

Ophelia by Lisa Klein
Rating: 4 Stars
In Shakespeare's tragedy, Hamlet, there lies a story of a young girl. But, no one's ever really heard her story, this is the story from Ophelia's point of view. With a few changes, this story is almost identical to the play.

Gretchen
Confessions of a Teen Nanny: Rich Girls by Victoria Ashton
Rating: 5 Stars
This sequel to CONFESSIONS OF A TEEN NANNY is a great book, and I recommend it to any girly girl. The books are about 2 New Yorkers nanny-ing, money, the "mentally " crazed and their snooty kids.

Morgan
Ophelia by Lisa Klein
Rating: 5 Stars
Everybody is familiar with the story of Hamlet, but what's the real deal with his lover, Ophelia? This book explains the whole plot from her point of view. Even if you haven't read or seen the play, you will be able to follow it perfectly. I literally could not put the book down and read it in one sitting. It made me laugh, cry, want to hug and strangle the characters. :-) The book has romance, mystery, suspense, drama, horror, historical references, and adventure. I would recommend this book to everyone!

Rating: 5 Stars
HANA'S SUITCASE is a true story and is about how a young girl and her brother suffered during World War II. It also describes how Hitler tortured the Jews and what affect his actions had on innocent lives of children and adults. The way this story is written makes it great. The way the author focuses on the events that changed the lives of main characters makes this story a 'must-read'.

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 2 Stars
I know. I'm the only person in this entire world who truly hated this book. I read it about two years ago and I'm just tired of the millions of people who think it is SO amazing. The writing is mediocre at best, and it is just so dorky and predictable. I love how people say it kept them on the edge of their seats. I barely got through it. All in all, it's way overrated, but I'll read the series to see if it grows on me. Maybe I'll join the millions of minions who worship these horrible books.

Jania
Twilight by Stephienie Myer

This book is awesome because it is cool how it takes a regular everyday high school and takes the students to make them all relate to a character from King Arthur's time. It is a very good book.

Invasion of the Boy Snatchers by Lisi Harrison
Rating: 4 Stars
This book really sums up the whole story of not judging people by how they look. In this book, Nina, a foreign exchange student, also Alicia's cousin, attracts the attention of every boy in the whole community. But, some of the girls are NOT. Massie, Claire, and even Alicia all are SICK of Nina and her charming looks, but most of all, her mean and all-that attitude. When they start to figure out a plan to totally get revenge, everyone holds their breath. Will the plan work? Or will they be stuck with Nina forever? Read this ah-mazing book to find out.

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
Rating: 5 Stars
TWILIGHT is quite possibly the best book I have ever read. It was the first book I read about vampires, and it's definitely not the last. Stephenie Meyer has put me into a vampire frenzy. This book is one that no person could ever put down. You'll find yourself identifying with Bella and falling in love with Edward.

It is the continuing story of Jenny Humphrey from Gossip Girl. The drama keeps heating up, and I hate it when Easy can't make up his choice between Jenny and Cally. Tinsley is up to something new again too.

Just Listen by Sarah Dessen
Rating: 5 Stars
This book was simply fantastic to me. I love how it is told in two tenses, past and present. And I love how Anabelle is an average girl. She's not too outspoken and not too quiet, but she's like a normal teen. This book addresses something about teen rape that isn't shown in many books, as well as a little something about friendship.

Anna's Story by Brownyn Donaghy

I was VERY impressed with this book. It is the first of seven books in the series. It is a very good teen read.

Sarah
The Mediator by Meg Cabot
Rating: 5 Stars
This series is now my favorite. This is because Meg makes her characters --- Suze Simon, Fater Dom, and the rest of them --- into people I can relate to. I can see what these characters would look like if they were real. I sometimes find myself asking, What would Suze do? So, this series is great if you like to read about ghosts who need help getting to the other side, from a teen girl.

The Night I Disappeared by Julie Reece Deaver
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is very interesting. It's about a girl who is sucked into her daydreams. She's in love with a man who's too old for her, named Webb. Her mother is a lawyer, working on a very public case about a girl who murdered her father. Jamie, the main character, then starts going to therapy to figure out her recent panic attacks and craziness. There's lots of suspense and a unique twist at the end. I highly recommend reading this book.

Unforgettable by Cecily von Ziegesar
Rating: 4 Stars
I loved the newest book in my favorite series! It's a great sequel to the previous books and it includes lots of modern aspects of being a teen. It deals with teens' issues realistically from the points of view of said teens. They're also just so interesting to read because of the drama that goes on.

Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder
Rating: 4 Stars
This book is about a teenage girl, Sophie, changing her view on the world by learning philosophy. Her teacher has a few mysteries, and Sophie keeps on getting mysterious letters and items from Hilde's father. This book was translated from the Norwegian text. It covers all aspects of philosophy, and is kind of like a mix of all the things we learn in school, like Plato, Descartes, and different ideas of life. It shows how humans came to be and how ideas evolved over time. Away from things like the geocentric theory, to the heliocentric theory. It even has scientific method in it. It may be hard to read, but it's worth all the information.

TWILIGHT and NEW MOON by Stephanie Meyers
Rating: 5 Stars
I love these books! Basically, I don't usually read books about fantasy and vampires, but once I got my hands on these books I couldn't put them down!!! I am in love with Edward. Bella isn't my favorite on account that she acts kind of stupid and childish. So without Edward, I probably wouldn't read these books. Wouldn't you love to have someone like him in your life? Well, if he weren't a vampire? I cannot wait till the 3rd book comes out!

Dramarama by E. Lockhart
Rating: 3 Stars
I thought it was okay. It's definitely the best book by E. Lockhart, but I didn't like the main character. I thought she was obnoxious and didn't know when not to talk. I think I probably finished the book because of Demi. He sounds like someone I wished I knew. Sayde (the main character), not so much.

Silent.Laugh
Peeps by Scott Westerfeld
Rating: 5 Stars
Scott Westerfeld is an awesome author. I recommend every one of his books that I have read --- UGLIES, PEEPS, SO YESTERDAY. Most of his novels are part of a series. PEEPS is simply about peeps (aka parasite-positives, aka vampires), parasites and....well, thats pretty much the root. Just like in Westerfeld's novel SO YESTERDAY, Peeps takes place in New York City and is about a secret organization that classic New Yorkers do not know about. For all we know, it could be a nonfiction book though I highly doubt it...but then again, the government does have their secrets... Anyways, if you like blood-sucking creatures, a scientific explanation for everything, gross-filled things (things that make you say "eww") and/or hot vampires and high hormones (that's right HOT and HORMONES), then this is definitely the book for you. P.S. Don't get too excited about the hot vampires and high hormones.

Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret by Judy Blume
Rating: 4 Stars
This book is about Margaret Simon, who is almost 12. She just moved from NY to the suburbs, and she is anxious to hang out with her new friends. They form a secret club and talk about boys, bras, and getting there first periods. No one can believe that Margaret doesn't have a religion. She can't tell anyone that she can talk to god either. This book is one of the best books out there. I highly recommend that you read it.

The Book of Luke by Jenny O'Connell
Rating: 4 Stars
This book chronicles what happens when three best friends decide to create a "how-to" guide on how guys should act. However, things spiral out of control when Emily, the protagonist, tests out this experiment on Luke, the hottest and most popular guy in school. There is a lot of teen angst and boy troubles in this novel. Overall, it was a cute and fast read with an important lesson about love and the limits of changing the behavior of others.

Rating: 5 Stars
I truly loved this book, and adored every page. It's about a rich, good-looking teenager and his two best friends finding the murderer of his dad's co-worker, through an upscale chase in Paris. I wont say much more about it. I am looking forward to going out and buying the second book. Hopefully, it will be more intriguing than the first.

Life Of Pi by Yann Martel
Rating: 4 Stars
Sometimes, I find myself sitting in a comfy chair devouring a book that is a little to "old" for me. I recommend this book for the more mature audience. It has nothing to do with celebrities, fashion, or scandal... but more to do with life lessons. The beginning is dry and tedious, but once you get into part two, you will be reading for hours on end.

This book is a thrilling romance novel with a lot of action. Bella, a human, falls in love with Edward, a vampire. There are so many things that are wrong with this picture. First of all, Edward could kill Bella in just a couple of seconds. Secondly, nobody is supposed to know about Edward being a vampire.

Just Listen by Sarah Dessen
Rating: 5 Stars
I read JUST LISTEN because I liked some of the other books by Dessen, but I had no idea I would love it so much! It kept me reading, and wondering what was going to happen in the end. I felt like I could relate to some of the main character's traits, like how she has trouble speaking her mind or didn't want to disappoint people. I wanted to see the character break out of her shell and finally speak out!

Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is my favorite in the world. Every time i read it, I get the same warm feeling in the end. I fell in love with Ella and Char the moment I read about them. There is only one thing I am angry about; the fact that Gail Carson Levine let someone make a movie out of ELLA ENCHANTED, Because it is by far the worst movie ever. I just think they ruined the book by doing that. But, that is only my opinion. So, I recommend this book.

Despite it unconventional title, this book was awesome! I absolutely loved it. Though it was not a strictly romance book (it was loaded with action scenes involving hoverboards and bungee jackets), it had an underlying message that I think everyone would like. What is the price of being pretty? Is it worth losing your 'self' in the process?
