The Advanced Reader of "Miss Smithers" by Susan Juby is what I'm reading. It is about a sassy 16 year old teenager who is about to enter a beauty pageant representing Miss Rod & Gun Club. Other than that she is making her own zine and is kind of having a fight with her boyfriend "Goose or Daniel". She is also trying to fit in since she doesn't really go to a regular high school. This book would get a 9.5 out of 10 by me and a guaranteed book to make people feel like 16 or something like that.
gigglychick2003@hotmail.com

I just finished The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. This is a thought-provoking book, and has an interesting view of the 1960s in steamy South Carolina, during a time of great racial tension. Racial conflict is seen through the eyes of fourteen year old Lily Owens, a white girl who runs away with her black nanny to Tiburon, South Carolina. This book is written with exquisite language, although at times the author can be a bit informal. The Secret Life of Bees is worth reading, though, because of the wonderful story it tells and the fashion in which it tells it.
renaiqueen2003@yahoo.com
I just read "Tears of a Tiger" by Sharon Draper. It is the kind of book that reminds teens not to drink and drive.I'd give it 8 1/2 out of 10. The book was hard to put down because it talked about things that weren't hard to believe and it was easy to understand.

borinquena80@yahoo.com
I have finished reading a number of books, for example they are: Inventing Eliot, Waiting for June, Consuelo, Breath, Watership Down, Double Helix, A Single Shard, and How to stop worring and start living. All these books have given me knowledge in one aspect or another. For example Double Helix was a very good book. It explained the genetic codes of humans, the new deveopments in science technology. Furthermore, it as explained that humans cannot play god, and cannot choose what kind of genetic makeup to give to humans. The individual can have positive characteristics, but as perfect as the person could be, there might be a fall out on that individual.
I enjoy readding alot. I enjoy receiving and viewing the teenreads websites for new selections of books to read. I am grateful for the library in my hometown of Flint, Michigan for the speediness they put to order the new books for each month.

All my friends have read Kingdoms And The Elves Of The Reaches. I loved Kingdoms and the Elves. The pictures the author painted in my mind were so colorful yet, it left room for my imagination.
I really liked the book Kingdoms and the Elves. It's plot was very imagitive and funny. It was Fantasy and I like those kind of books. The thing I liked most about the book was how devolped the characters were. I liked the way that the characters were linked together without them knowing.
My favorite part in the whole book was when Adrina and Emel leave Imtal and it talked about the prophecy. I liked that Emel was a good friend and Vilmos was brave.

I have recently finished many books. The first being Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. It was an amazing book about the Wizard of Oz, pre-dorothy. Gregory Maguire does an amazing job of telling this story from Elphaba's (the witch) point of view. It is definately a 10 out of 10 stars. The other book is entitled A Great and Terrible Beauty, by Libba Bray. It is also an amazing telling about a girl, and the Order, a mystical society that both her and her deceased mother have a part in. Again, 10 out of 10 stars.

For her birthday initiation, Josie's friends are planning a surprise at the lake. She has heard from others that it will be very interesting and she cannot wait until the night.
