Unseen Companion by Denise

Excellent,5 stars

A sensitive and thoughtful portrayal of youth in Bethel, Alaska and how they live, function and manage to overcome poverty and obstacles in their lives. Realistic and hard to take but well worth the wonderful read. Written with compassion and understanding.

lycheechew@insightbb.com
Ever since "Pirates of the Caribbean", I've been in love with, well, pirates... And that's when I picked up Treasure Island. I say- five stars and a bottle of rum!

katie_b_11@hotmail.com
i just finished reading "The A-List" by Zoey Dean. it was so good i couldn't put it down! i read it in about 3 days, nonstop! even though this book probably is directed at a more female audience, i recommend it to anyone. it's a great read!

dominican117@hotmail.com
I recommend Tiger Eyes by Judy Blume. Its about a girl names Davey.Davey's father is killed in a hold-up, she and her mother and younger brother visit relatives in New Mexico. Davy Meets a boy and becomes friends with him. Its really good.

ashley_123188@yahoo.com
I recently read Cradle and All by James Patterson.... I LOVED that book. I give it 7/5 stars. GO OUT AND READ It!!!

justineewini@yahoo.com
Recently, Iv'e been reading this book 'Sloppy Firsts' by Megan McAfferty. It's about this girl, Jessica Darling. Her best friend, Hope, just moved away and she misses her a lot. Now her best friend's away, shes stuck with the 'clueless crew', her bimbo friends that she hates but they insist to take her under their wing. There's also this guy named Marcus flutie, the guy known as a dreg who follows her around and tries to be friends with her. I really like the book because it has an interesting story and it relates to some teenagers who just lost hope in having a normal life. I give it 5 out of 5. It's really a good book to read and i really reccomend it.

orchdork@hotmail.com
I am currently reading the first book in John Ronald Reuel Tolkien's (J.R.R. Tolken) Lord of the Rings trilogy "The Fellowship of the Ring". I would recommend it to readers who do not get impatient when scenes and parts of the story don't go as fast as they like. This story draws out the characters, is fluent and flowing in descriptions, and has many twists and turns. Accordingly I will read the other two books in the trilogy called "The Two Towers" and "The Return of the King", and as to those motion picture shows, the books contain the answers to the questions you have during or after you have watched the movies. I do not rate books with numbers, but I can tell you this novel by Tolkien exceeds the 1-10 scale.

maestraw@msn.com
My boyfriend and I both read Breathing Underwater by Alexandra Flinn. I would give it 4 stars. We recommended it to a friend who is in a similar relationship.

munkeechica@hotmail.com
I recommend "The Life History of a Star" I don't remember the author. It's set in the4 70s during the Vietnam War. It's told from the percpective of a 14 year old girl. At first i thought I wouldn't like it considering the fact that it was set in a time that seems to be so long ago. But it showed me how we all go through the same emotions and crap as teens and it is truly a horrificly beautiful time in our lives.

wilsonhm00@yahoo.com
I just finished reading Crispin: Cross of Lead by Avi. I would highly reccomend it. My family just got home from a vacation and 4 hours in the car and it was late at night. I was going to go to bed but I started reading this book. Just a chapter I told myself. It was so captivating it felt like I was right there. I stayed up till 3 in the morning reading it until I finished it. It will always be one of my favorites

MegWiz12@aol.com
Attention Everyone!
(mostly the girl readers here)

This Christmas my grandparnets gave me two series written by Tamora Pierce: Song of the Lioness and The Imortal Series, and I read both series in about a week, they were so GOOD! If you like adventureous women heros(be that they are knights with the favor of the Great Mother Godess or sorceress with wild magic the enables them to have close relationships with animals) with a 'little romance' then these books are for you.

Jediringbearer@cs.com
I would like to recommend The shipping news, the rageing quiet and the giver. All of these books have excellant story lines and really well formed charactors.

terrakart225@aol.com
a good book is Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches, its about a teen named Vilmos who becomes a wizard, a teen named Adrina who discovers herself and all their friends. everyone i know is reading it.

kelechi6@juno.com
I would like to recommend to read Christopher Pike (Christopher Pike and Final Friends) or R.L. Stine-(Fear Street,: Fear Street Super Chillers, Sagas,Chronicles, Fear Park, Fear Hall, etc) Series if you like suspence, mystery, and a little romance. They are throughly written and amazing. You can get the books at you're local bookstore. If I could rate these books a 10 I would give them a 10 and more.

FtLicky@aol.com
The A Body of Evidence Series by Christopher Golden is fantastic. They're about a freshman in college named Jenna, who is the assistant to a medical examiner, who is also a bit of an amateur detective. I give the series 5 stars out of 5.

rachelbyus@cs.com
I just finished reading "Stick Figure". this is a book about a young girl and how she was affected by anorexia. it really was a great book because the characters were so real. i would recomend this book to any girl who is concerned about her body image because it will turn your opinion about it around. 3 out 0f 5

volleyballgrlk14@msn.com
I am reading the book Wolf on the Fold it is a great book so far I don't know what to put down but it good right now. Hey tell me some good books at kay122489 that is my aol naem but my e-msil is different I know you can see that.

xojodxo@aol.com
Hawksong By Amelia Atwater-Rhodes is an awsome book, not exactly her best, but I would definitly suggest everyone reads it, especially if you're into that...not-so-human effect. I'm a big fan of her and would really reccomend reading all of her books, expecially In The Forests Of The Night and the sequal Demon In My View. Those are my favorites. On a scale 1-10, I'd give Hawksong an 8 or 9, but the other two, I'd definitly give a 20!

niyi10@hotmail.com
i recommend Eragon. At first i was hesitant to try this book out, because the writer was so young and i thought it wouldn't be proffesionally done. But i got hooked on Eragon and couldn't stop reading it. I can't wait for the next part to the trilogy Eldest. i rate it 9 out of 10 stars for and amazing plot.

flagcorpschick05@hotmail.com
I believe "Of Mice and Men" was a wonderful book; it has an intriging plot and a surprising ending! I would also recommend "To Kill a Mockingbird" to anyone who hasn't read it; it is long but definitely worth the time it takes to read.

texas_townie_1985@yahoo.com
I just finished Seventeenth Summer, it was amazing. I absolutely loved the hourny you go through with Angeline and her first love. As a teenage girl I longed for the connection she was feeling with Jack. I could begin to picture his tan skin, and nice pressed shirts. The book is obviously not set in 2004, and it does a good job dsescribing the time periods that these kids were growing up in. I rate this book a 9 1/2. The only reason a 1/2 because sometimes i longed for a better explanation of what was going on between the two young lovers. You know they went out on a date but you didn't always get the best explanation of what they did when they went out. Otherwise i loved it!

PujaMagic2468@aol.com
Garth Nix's sabriel and Lireal (two different yet consecutive books, lol!) are da greatest books i have ever read. I think it best only if you all u people read these books!!!!!!!! PS: They are the perfect books cause they have moderate violence, love (not like that though), adventure, and everything you can possibly dream of! Take my advice and read these two books!!!!

pianostar_87@hotmail.com
Boy Meets Boy--this is a book about a high school where drag queens and gay/lesbian relationships are just your average joe type things. The main character is gay himself, and is trying to come to terms with some interesting facts of life as a gay teeenager. A+!

shkruger@hotmail.com
Just finished "Wendy" by Karen Wallace. It is an interesting twist on the old Peter Pan story. The style is fast-paced and easy-to-read. I read it in one day. *****

smillertime9@aol.com
I want to recommend "Girls Guide to Hunting and Fishing" it is an awesome book about growing up and really is very interesting. You can relate to the main character and you learn a lot from the experiances in the book. It was a fun and easy read.

drsoreson@aol.com

super_gurl228@hotmail.com
i would recommend two new author that are really great:
Sarah Dessen-she wrote the book that how to deal is based on but the books are 100 times better than the movie.
Carolyn Mackler-her books are about real girls and their problems and i think most girls would be able to identify with them
other books i would recommend are the shopaholic books which are the funniest books i've ever read

a_luckeyfam@cox.net
The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants

swimmer219292@aol.com
The Georgia Nicholson series by
Louise Rennison. I give it 80
zillion thumbs up!

glory_fade@yahoo.com
I would like to reccomend Lucas by Kevin Brooks. It is a story about standing up for what you believe in, and helping the people you love. Kevin Brooks is also a great writer that will keep you interested until the very last page is done, and make you feel as if you know the characters personally. This book definetly deserves a ten out of ten.

dazdnconfusd@comcast.net
I would recommend A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. This book will capture the attention of anyone who reads it. Though it takes place over 100 years ago, you can relate to it. Also, the heroine Gemma will attract all with her spirit and curiosity. This is a story of friendship, truth, romance, adventure, and magic. Not a moment is boring and you will not want to put it down. I would rate this 5 out of 5 stars.

emmieloohoo24@yahoo.com
the perks of being a wallflower -- by stephen chbosky.... this book is about those outcasts you see in the hallway, and as you pass them you say to yourself "there's something different about them". If you've ever wondered what those loner's lives must be like, then you will be hooked to this book. I love it because it's rough, emotional, and very down to earth.
nowhere fast -- kevin waltman.......this is a great book , from a teenage boy's perspective, about how hard growing up can be. It has a lot of adventure and challenges in the book that face most teenagers. This is a great book if you ever feel like you want to be anywhere else other than where you are at.

UnknownSender@UnknownDomain
I'm reading Second Helpings by Megan McCafferty, but before you read this, read Sloppy Firsts... it's the preceeding book to Second Helpings... obviously haha. These are both good and funny!

Purplemountain49@aol.com
I recomend the book "Annie's Baby" for any emmotional, sentimental teenager who loves a god cry - not that there aren't funny or other parts to tiis book but it deals with a GOOD teenager who had been an ugly duck until she met the boy of her dreams and fell in love with him at first sight . they started out as being firends then it lead to more. If I had to rate this book ona scale from 1 to 5 (5 being the highest), it would be a 3.8 so i encourage anyone to come get this wonderful book!!

lovable_angel_20@hotmail.com

i recommend Princess Diaries series. it's really good and in a way realistic. i'd give a rating of 20/10

singingpotato@cox.net
I am currently reading Emma by Jane Austen. I am actually reading it a second time for school, but it is one of my favorite novels. I recommend it as well as all of Austen's works. Her stories are full of romance and adventure that would interest any teenage girl. But at the sam time uses amazing language and diction. Her novels are a mix between a 21st century soap opra and a English classic.

mary_g8@earthlink.net

gambit_remyx7@lycos.com
just finished reading The Chrestomanci Chronicles: The Witch Week. Telling about a boarding school, that raises witch-orphans. Nice. But I prefer the Witch of Caprona. Where there are much more plots.

marce251@hotmail.com

gryffgrl16@aol.com
Right now, I'm reading Hitch-hiker's Guide To The Galaxy by Douglas Adams and The Silmarillion by JRR Tolkien. HHG2G (I'd give it 4 stars) is awesome and a very funny read, while The Silmarillion (3 stars...only because it's a bit boring) is more for very obsessive Lord of the Rings fans.

rockrgrl3@aol.com
I definitely recommend the His Dark Materials trilogy by Phillip Pullman. Everyone who I have suggested to read the books told me it was the best they've ever read. And that is saying something, because a lot of them have been reading since before they can remember.
