Ideas for Discussing the ULTIMATE TEEN READING LIST Books:
1.) Have the entire school read one book for summer reading and set aside time the first week of school for students to discuss it. Mix up the student body and place people into small groups. That way people can review a title and, yes, get to know each other better. Many colleges have been doing this as an ice breaker for freshmen, and we think it's a great idea.
2.) Start a Book Club at your high school based on summer reading. Many of these titles can provoke interesting --- and spirited --- conversations. Maybe add Book Club to your current list of clubs at school. Keep in mind here that the goal is to have fun reading.
