Past Questions

November 2005

When you have time to read for pleasure, what's the first book you are going to read?

Anything new --- sure, I like my books but I just want to go to B&N and get some new ones.

*****

I just jump at the opportunity to start a new book that's been on my book list. As much as I love the books that I read, I prefer not to reread them. (Heck, if I did that for every book I like, I'd be reading the same books over and over again!)

*****

Any Gossip Girl book.

*****

The FIRST book I'm going to read is This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen and ALL of her other books. I started reading This Lullaby when a friend left it in a class. I didn't want to give it back to her!

*****

Usually, it is whatever suits the mood I am in. My room is a battlefield of books, all fighting to capture my attention, the tide of war swaying to my whim. If it's a rainy Saturday afternoon, I may settle down with a hot chocolate and grab I Capture the Castle for some YA literature. If I'm feeling grimy and irritable, I'll pick up Tithe. Happy --- I'm holding The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Philosophical or hopeful --- Wings. There are thousands of books to explore every crevice of the human heart, and whatever confusing emotion I'm experiencing will definitely influence my spare time book choice.

*****

Hard Love
by Ellen Wittlinger !!

*****

Next time I finish my homework before 11, I'm going to finish the Lost Years of Merlin series and the Artemis Fowl series, then reread Eragon.

*****

Any of Kristen Billerbeck's books (What a Girl Wants, She's Out of Control, and With This Ring, I'm Confused )

*****

Harry Potter

*****

Angels in Pink
...all 3 books!

*****

I would probably read Romeo and Juliet because it is a great love and tragedy play.

*****

Harry Potter
!!!!

*****

The Princess Diaries

*****

Something science fiction and slightly romantic.

*****

Any book that interests me --- mystery, or just anything plain and simple.

*****

I know it's not good to judge a book by its cover but I usually read the book that is the most attractive-looking first, unless I have a favourite author amongst them.

*****

I am going to read the book Cuba 15 as soon as I get a chance.

*****

The first book that I'm going to be reading right now is probably Rebel Angels by Libba Bray, and when I've finished that book I'll be finishing up The Elf Queen of Shannara.

*****

It's either a Stephen King book I'm currently reading or Tamora Pierce 's The Immortal series. Both authors are fantastic!

The Chronicles of Narnia
would be the first book I would read in my free time. They allow you to really enjoy that free time.

*****

The Clique
series, at least the last two books I haven't read yet!! They're so good!

*****

At the moment, I'm re-reading The Second Summer of the Sisterhood by Ann Brashares, so I really want to read the third installment Girls in Pants: The Third Summer of the Sisterhood. Also, I'd like to read Pride and Prejudice because seemingly everyone has read it, and Ready or Not by Meg Cabot because her books are such a great form of escapism!

*****

Tithe
and Valiant by Holly Black.

*****

Jurassic Park

*****

Whatever book I haven't read around the house.

*****

The Silmarillion
--- it's about the history of Middle Earth from Lord of the Rings.

*****

I will definitely read Teach Me. It sounds like a great book...and if not, then oh well!

*****

I would have to say These Is My Words, a diary of a young woman from the Arizona Territory. Even if you don't like history, I can tell you right now you will love it!! I've gotten almost all of my friends to read it.
