When I started reading the book, I just had to finish it. I couldn't put it down. It has almost everything in it. If I took it with me, I wouldn't get sick of it. "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" by Betty Smith. It is, to date, the best book I have ever read. It is the story of a little girl growing up in New York, and it has a little bit of everything: drama (suspense), romance, grief, happiness. lelebelle@aol.com
I Have Words to Spend by Robert Cormier.

This book is a collection of Cormier's newspaper articles and such. It's an amazing read because it takes you back to when he was a child, when he had his own children and when his children had THIER own. This book is like a story, poetry and random clippings from random places all in one. I've loved it every single time I've read it, and I know I'll continue loving it.

lotr4eva13@netscape.net
i would have to take Hawksong by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. That is my favorite book of all time, but if i couldnt bring that book for some unknown reason, then i would bring the next book of the Firekeeper series called Wolf Captured. These books are long and very detailed, and thats what i like most about books. I think that good books should be very detailed, because i like to imagine that im in the book and i like to picture in my head what everything looks like in the book. I especally like series. i could go on for pages about how much i love series! If a book is good and i could connect with the characters, storyline, i immedatly go to the internet when i finished the book to find out if there are any sequels. It dissapoints me when a book doesnt have a sequel and it interested me. Well, i hope that i dont actually have to choose ONE book anytime soon, because i like a lot of books.

If i were to go on a desert island and could only take one book I think it would have to be the book Sloppy Firsts by Megan Mccafferty. I think cause it explains a normal teen girls life when her best friend moves away. I also like the book cause me and the main character are so much different, i have great best friends, Im noticed, I have a great personality, I'm not a runer what so ever and i understand my life and im not going through a major depression. But i think that all young female adults she read tihs book.Though I may warn you there is some strong languange and sexual content in this book but its by far one of the best books that i have read in a while.
