If you could hang out with any author, who would it be? How would you spend the day?

I would hang out with Jerry Spinelli. I think he's the best author! I would spend the day doing whatever he would want to do.

I would definitely hang out with Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. I have read both of her first books, and have loved them so much. I am amazed at how good of a writer she is. She is close to my age, and I don't think I could ever write as well as she can. My teachers all say I'm a good writer, but I wish for one day Amelia could hang out with me, and I could introduce her to my teachers. I idolize her, and hope that someday I could write as well as she can. The topics she writes about seem so real. You can actually feel the things happening in the story, and sometimes I think about it...are there really vampires in this world? I would ask her this question, I would really
like to know where she gets her wonderful ideas.

If I could spend the day with an author I would spend it with J.R.R Tolkein. We would go out to lunch and he would show me his visions of the characters in his epic fantasy THE LORD OF THE RINGS. We would discuss the books and he would tell me how he came up with the idea of making THE LORD OF THE RINGS series.

If I could pick any author to hang out with for a whole day I would pick Danielle Steel because I think she writes really good novels. Even though they are all mostly about affairs that okay because I'm the type that likes to read about love. I think we would go out to eat and talk about her books and where she gets her ideas and inspiration.

I would definitely hang out with Anne Rice for a day. We would explore New Orleans, especially the French Quarter. She'd show me some of the places in the city she's gone to get inspiration and the places where she set many of her stories. Then we'd have dinner at her gorgeous house, and she would give me tips on my writing, including proofreading and commenting on my own stories.

I'd want to hang with Gary Paulsen because he is a great genius of writing and I could get some tips from him and he's really cool.

Pitabreadmonkey@aol.com
I'd spend the day with Louise Rennison just because she seems to be a really cool, fun person. I have no idea what we'd to because I'm not that good at that kinda stuff.

btrcuplt@aol.com
I would hang with Kurt Vonegut --- he seems like an incredibly interesting guy. I'd like to take him on a picnic in a very scenic place, and pick his brain as to where he got his ideas for his abstract writing skills.

I would either want to bring Louisa May Alcott or Emily Dickinson back to life and spend twelve hours in present day time, then twelve hours in their time. But since they're both dead, hehe, I'd most likely choose J.K. Rowling, Terry Brooks, or Francine Rivers. They're all brilliant. It's honestly hard to choose which one.

I would hang out with J.K. Rowling. She is a wonderful writer and  well, a popular person.she wrote the HARRY POTTER series which are good books too.Maybe if i got to hang around her for a while, she would tell me about the other books she is going to write or better, the other Harry Potter books that are going to come out. If I get lucky enough, I might even get to meet the crews of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone! Ms. Rowling is my favorite author. I hope to spend  time with her sometime.

If I could spend the day with any author it would be Nicholas Sparks. I've just started reading his novels and cannot put them down. He writes mostly about teenage love, but in a more adult matter. Usually, "teen" based novels are dry and do not keep your interest. This was different. If I could spend the day with him, we'd talk about his books and maybe I could inspire him to write a new one.

alita0464@aol.com
I would spend the day with Sister Soulajah and we would go shopping for books and shoes and other things!!

HottieRockStar1@aol.com
If I could hang out with any author it would be S.E. Hinton. I'd see what she could teach me about writing, and I'd ask her about her past experiences, and motivations for the books she writes.

SJ8700@aol.com
I would spend the day w/ S.E. Hinton, the author of THE OUTSIDERS, THAT WAS THEN, THIS IS NOW, RUMBLEFISH, TEX, and TAMING THE STAR RUNNER. She is such an amazing writer, and she started at such a young age. I would spend the day receiving tips on how to get inside the characters that you write about and touring the places where she thought of her stories and perhaps meeting the people who were the basis for some of the characters in her books.
