I think that the book that gave me the most advice was a book called BRICK BY BRICK by
Lynn Donahue and it told about not giving up on dreams even when you might think that they
are not gonna come true at all.

The last book I read that gave me some unintentional good advice was A GIRLS GUIDE TO
HUNTING AND FISHING by Melissa Banks. It taught me how NOT to be a whiny,
self-involved chick posing as a strong independent young woman in New York.

As an aspiring writer I found Anne Lamott's BIRD BY BIRD to be one of the most helpful
books on the subject. It's not only super funny but it actually leaves you feeling like
you could actual write and write pretty well. I noticed someone on Word of Mouth mentioned
it and I totally agree. Get this book...trust me.

I pretty much never get tired of re-reading TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD by Harper Lee. Scout is
young, sure, but the message is so simple and true and good: Don't be afraid to stand up
for what you believe.

The last book I read that gave me good advice is that old training-bra classic, ARE YOU
THERE GOD, ITS ME MARGARET. Not only is it side-splittingly funny, but how comforting
to know that someone out there knows exactly how you feel!

THE BLUE NOWHERE by Jeffery Deaver...I will never pick up the phone, log on to my computer
or basically leave my house ever again...he's confirmed my suspicion that there are people
out there watching our every move...and they're not gonna get me!!

A couple of years ago in English we read A SEPARATE PEACE by John Knowles. I still think
about this book. It's all about friendship and the lengths you'll go to for your friends.

My mom bought me LIFE STRATEGIES FOR TEENS. She thinks it has good advice but I think its
all sappy and dumb.

TOO YOUNG TO DIE by Lurlene McDaniel --- The advice this book gave me is that life can be
very difficult at times and problems can often seem insurmountable... in spite of this,
you must always struggle on --- that is where the true spirit and meaning of life is.
