OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

ELIGIBILITY: This contest is open only to legal U.S. residents residing in the 50 United States who are age 13 and older. The following persons and their dependents are not eligible to enter or win: employees of Teenreads.com, The Book Report, Inc., HarperCollins Publishers, and America Online, and their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) of each of the above.

HOW TO WIN: The staff of Teenreads.com will randomly select three winners from among all properly submitted entries that identify the correct answers to the three questions about Chris Crutcher asked on the web page http://www.teenreads.com/community/contests/0402-crutcher.asp. Entries must be received on or before April 15, 2001. Teenreads.com is not responsible for entries lost or delayed or not received for any other reason, or for errors in the entry forms or the rules. Teenreads.com reserves the right to announce the winner on Teenreads.com and publish and materials submitted as part of the entry. Winner also agrees that Teenreads.com can promote and publicize the winner's entry in appropriate promotion and press materials.

PRIZES: Teenreads.com will notify the winners. Winners will have 21 days after notification to respond for collection of their prizes. Each winner will receive one copy each of WHALE TALK, IRONMAN, and STAYING FAT FOR SARAH BYRNES, worth an estimated total value of $50.85.

HOW TO ENTER: To enter, read the instructions and questions posted at http://www.teenreads.com/community/contests/0402-crutcher.asp. Then write an e-mail to TBRTeen@aol.com. The subject of your e-mail should be "Chris Crutcher Giveaway". If your e-mail includes the correct answers for all three questions, you will be entered into a random drawing to win. Limit one entry per person. Entries must be received on or before April 15, 2001. Entries may also be sent by fax, to 212-246-4640. If you send your entry by fax, be sure to include your e-mail address, mailing address, or fax number so that we can contact you if you win.

PRIVACY: Teenreads.com wants to protect your privacy. If you are a winner, your personal information will be used only for the purpose of mailing you your prize. We will not use this information to for any other purpose and we will never share or sell your information to third parties.
